These guys are the ultimate romance novel bloggers. With snarky reviews, cover snark, shopping lists, giveaways and Help a Bitch Out (for when you can’t remember the name of that book you love) there’s plenty here for everyone. SBTB is great for when you want to find new romance recommendations, or just need some laughs. One of my favorites is reading the Cover Snark, because it’s hilarious. Here’s an excerpt from one of their most recent Cover Snark, this one for the cover of the box set Dirty Desires.
Elise Marion, author of the Chained series, was generous enough to do an interview with me in anticipation of our War Bride giveaway event. It’s a pleasure to be working with her and to have her on the blog. She has some great answers, including her opinion on the lack of diversity in books. I highly recommend you read her work, because she really is a fantastic writer.

I’m going to earn your trust, Emery Toustain, he thought as he released her hand. Perhaps, if you let me, I’ll earn more than that.
The first time I read War Bride was several months ago. It was so good I actually missed a call from my boss because I was so busy reading it. No, really. I didn’t even “ignore” the call. The fact that my phone was ringing didn’t even register because I was so absorbed in the book. I ended up finishing it in less than a day.
I just finished it for the second time today, and it’s still incredible.
Emery Calliot kicks ass.
This October, I’m giving away one Smashwords copy of War Bride by Elise Marion. This is a fantastic book that I highly recommend. You’ll have more details about War Bride and the giveaway soon, including an interview with Elise Marion, my official book review on War Bride, and a link to giveaway page itself. Until then, enjoy this teaser.
First of all a huge thanks to Maggie Shayne for giving a Smashwords copy to my giveaway. She’s a fantastic person and writer, and it was a pleasure to collaborate with her.
Second of all, thank you to everyone who entered and spread the word about the giveaway. It’s much appreciated.
The winner will receive an email in the next day or two with the coupon code that will give them a free copy of the Once Upon a Time boxed set. If you do not receive an email in the next couple of days, then I’m afraid you did not win. However, if you’re still interested in reading Once Upon a Time by Maggie Shayne, then you can buy it on Smashwords here.
Thank you, everyone, and I’ll be back next week with another article.
Hey everyone! I’m doing another giveaway, this time for Valentine’s Day. All you need to do is answer this question: What are you doing for Valentine’s Day?
I know on Valentine’s Day I’m probably going to be doing homework. My boyfriend is coming down to Boston for that weekend, but he’s leaving on Valentine’s Day because he has work the next day (and we both have homework). My guess is my Valentine’s Day will involve a nice breakfast with my boyfriend, a tearful goodbye, and (in an unromantic turn of events) a major study session in the library wearing my shabbiest yet most comfortable clothes and toting a travel mug and thermos of tea as well as a water bottle. Oh yeah. I live the high life.
