“There is a better world out there, waiting for you to find it. And if I ever get the chance, if things are ever better, safer . . . I will find you again.”

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and…

Sweetheart, Please Don’t Frown (Balcony Scene Involving Penniless Lad and Whimsy Lady)

Very cute poem. Definitely worth reading. 🙂

Balcony Scene Painting

Sweetheart, please don’t frown!

The candy shop was closed,

The florist was away,

The dressmaker has not returned

From holiday,

The jeweller has left town,

The gift shop was out of stock,

And as to the flowers along the road

They were too sweet, too innocent for plucking.

But though my hands be empty,

I assure you my heart is replete with love for you.

Words that Bind is a sensational hot and steamy romance unlike any other. Ask Krafton has crafted a blinding hot romance between a social worker and a djinn. It’s All in My Head by Kristen James

Romance Novels for the Beach

it's all in my headI must say, I’m not usually a fan of novels with paranormal aspects to them, but I actually enjoyed this one! Probably because there weren’t any shiny vampires or hormonal werewolves to deal with. The paranormal theme of this book was much more subtle, and far less annoying. If anything, it was more mystical than paranormal. Avery wakes up in the hospital with a concussion after a tumble on her snowboard (proof that winter sporting activities are evil). Although the doctors assure her that everything looks good, she notices that something isn’t quite right when she starts hearing a male voice speaking inside her head. The voice, aka Marcus, can’t remember many details about his life, or understand how he came to be trapped inside a woman’s head, but the two quickly realize that there’s really nothing they can do to change the situation. Adjusting to having a voice inside…

Secondhand Heart by Kristen Strassel

A excellent review

Romance Novels for the Beach

Daisy Mangold is only twenty-one, and already a widow. Her husband, who was also her best friend from childhood, died due to a road-side bomb explosion while serving in Afghanistan. Now that it has been over a year since her husband’s death, Daisy’s family and friends think it is time for her to start getting her life back on track. Her sister in particular thinks she should move on with Cam Hunter, a hunky town local who won a singing reality TV show, and is back in town to open up a bar and get his country singing career in order after splitting up with his wife. Sounds like a match made in heaven.

secondhand heartHonestly, I had some issues with the first half or so of this book, mainly in regards to Daisy and Cam’s relationship. She is just starting to date again after losing someone ridiculously important to her…
