Lover’s Quarrel’s mission is to make the world a better place through romance novels. That includes helping independent authors gain exposure and helping readers find new books they love. But it also means fighting global warming and poverty by using affiliate links and offering paid marketing options to authors.
Affiliate links means I’ll get a small commission if you purchase the book through one of my affiliate links, but at no additional cost to you. My reviews are still 100% honest and I do not get any money from you clicking on the link without buying anything.
50% of my affiliate earnings go to charity. Each affiliate site supports a different charity so I can give to as many worthy causes as possible.
Indiebound affiliate commissions support The Arbor Day Foundation, which is dedicated to planting trees in suffering forests and cities to give everyone cleaner air, shade, and lower energy costs, as well as teaching children about nature.
Smashwords commissions go towards The Malala Fund, a nonprofit created by Malala Youfsafzai and Ziauddin Yousafzai to help girls all over the world get the education they need. Their goal is to provide girls with 12 years of safe education so they can achieve their full potential and provide for their family.
Powell’s City of Books affiliate links supports the Foundation of Sustainable Development, which provides help to underserved communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It’s their goal to provide communities with the ability to develop their economy and environment in sustainable ways. This includes providing business grants, education, work training, and safer equipment to underserved communities.
Lover’ s Quarrel also offers marketing options for authors and bloggers, including interviews, spotlights, and honest reviews in exchange for small donations to the Borgen Project, a nonprofit that fights extreme poverty by advocating for laws to be passed to help the United States more efficiently bring aid to those who need it.
