I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the flood of superhero movies and television shows. From crushing on Cisco Ramone in Flash to loving the Black Panther, I’m enjoying the wonderful and wonderfully flawed heroes as much as the action-packed plots and stunning special effects. So I’ve made a list of 10 romance novels for superhero fans. If you love the romance as much as the action in you superhero movies, then this list is for you.
1) Karma Girl by Jennifer Estep
Average Goodreads Rating: 3.68 out of 5 stars
Page Count: 360 pages
Bigtime, New York, is not big enough for both Carmen Cole and the superheroes and ubervillains who stalk its streets. An intrepid reporter, Carmen’s dedicated her life to unmasking the spandex-wearers, all because her fiancŽ turned out to be a superhero, and a cheating one at that-sleeping with none other than his nubile nemesis.
Exposing the true identities of the nation’s caped crusaders and their archenemies has catapulted Carmen from her sleepy southern hometown to the front pages of the country’s biggest newspaper, The ExposŽ. Hobnobbing with millionaires and famished fashionistas is all in a day’s work for a woman on the trail of the Fearless Five and Terrible Triad. But when Carmen gets the scoop of her career, her life comes crashing down around her. And even Bigtime’s sexiest superhero, Striker, may not be able to save her.
This is an ideal romance novel for Lois Lane fans. After all, she’s a hard-hitting reporter covering superheroes. And it sounds like Carmen might find her Superman in Striker.

2) Even Villains Fall in Love by Liana Brooks
Average Goodreads Rating: 3.96 out of 5 stars
Page Count: 109 pages
A supervillain at the top of his game must choose between the world he wants and the woman he loves.
If you believe the rumors you know that Doctor Charm, the wickedly sexy super villain, retired in shame seven years ago after his last fight with the superhero Zephyr Girl. The fact that the charming Evan Smith-father of four and husband of the too-beautiful-to-be-real Tabitha-bears a resemblance to the defeated Doctor is pure coincidence. And, please, ignore the minions.
Everything is perfect in the Smith household until Tabitha announces her return to work as a superhero. Evan was hoping to keep her distracted until after he rigged the 2012 presidential election, but-genius that he is-Evan has a backup plan.
In his basement lab, Evan has a machine whose sole purpose is keeping Tabitha hungry for him. But children and labs don’t mix. The machine is broken, and Tabitha storms out, claiming she no longer knows him.
World domination takes a back seat to meeting his daughters’ demands to get Mommy back right now. This time his genius isn’t going to be enough-he’s going to need both his evil alter-ego and the blooming super abilities of his children to save his wife. But even his most charming self might not be enough to save their marriage.
This is obviously a book for those who like the sillier superhero works. Fans of Deadpool and Dr. Horrible’s Singalong Blog might enjoy a sympathetic supervillain put into a ridiculous situation.

Average Goodreads Rating: 3.65 out of 5 stars

8) Seductive Powers by Rebecca Royce

Wendy Warner is a bit of an oddball. Raised in an orphanage, she’s found solace and friendship by watching the television show, Space Adventures, and participating in its fan clubs. Twice a month, Wendy comes to work dressed in a costume from the show that she wears to charity events. She’s been able to ignore the looks of disdain from many of her coworkers, but when the president of the company gazes at her with something more, she knows she’s in deep.
Draco Powers rather likes the way the uniform hugs all her curves in the just the right places. He’s also a real-life Guardian who told the world that, yes, some people had superhuman abilities, but, no, they wouldn’t work for free or without health insurance. Some people refer to him with derision as the “Capitalist Guardian.” While Draco doesn’t care what he’s called, he’s also being hunted by a group called the Organization, whose motives are unclear and yet still cause death and destruction wherever they go.
The Organization has decided that Draco’s biggest weakness is the way he cares about his employees and has picked Wendy out as their next target. To save her, Draco will have to come to terms with his real feelings for Wendy and why it is that he has so long resisted complicated relationships. That is if he can get there in time…
