3 Book Bloggers You Need to Follow Now

Posted on May 20, 2019May 20, 2019

If you like learning about books and bookish news, and you want to support small content creators, then you want to follow book bloggers. Here are 5 book bloggers to follow in 2019.

Caffeinated Fae

Caffeinated Fae is a book reviewer who writes mainly about romance novels but has a few others mixed in as well. She’s also been instrumental in keeping the book community up to date on the #CopyPasteCris scandal, sharing news articles and keeping a running list of all the books and authors that were plagiarized.

She’s a huge fan of J.K. Rowling, David Levithan, and Anne Rice among other authors and is committed to sharing her love of books with the world.

Smart Bitches and Trashy Books

It should be no surprise to anyone in the romance novel community that SBTB makes the list. Their snarky, no-bullshit reviews, not to mention cover snark posts are addicting and always worth the read. They have been in the blogosphere for awhile now, and have established their own community of avid, sarcastic romance readers who make the comments section just as fun as the posts themselves.

The Smart Bitches are are led by Sarah Wendell, who co-founded the blog in 2005 and has since published two books about the romance novel industry. The Smart Bitches also currently include Carrie Sessarego, Elyse, and Amanda.

Francina Simone

Although she’s more a booktuber and author instead of a blogger, I have to mention Francina Simone. She’s one of my favorite booktubers and highly underrated.

Like all communities, the book world is prone to drama, especially on YouTube and Twitter. And Simone has no problem calling the book world out on its BS with eloquent and thought-provoking videos talking about diversity in YA, toxic trends in the book world, and sex in young adult books, among other videos. She’s not afraid to give her opinion, even if it’s unpopular, and her videos are always entertaining.

Who are some of your favorite book bloggers? Tell me in the comments below or leave a link to your own book blog.
