All of us have causes that we wish we could support more, whether it’s fighting climate change, world poverty, or supporting local businesses. Usually, time and money get in the way of this. Despite our best efforts, the most convenient and cheapest products win out.
However, Americans spend more than 1 trillion dollars annually while shopping for the holidays. If we devote even one percent of our holiday shopping to causes we are passionate about, we would be investing 10 billion dollars into making the world a better place.
This year I’m doing a lot of my holiday shopping in a way to support my favorite causes (I’d tell you exactly how, but my friends and family read this blog, so no spoilers). I’m so excited about it, I wrote an article on ways you can make an impact this holiday season.
