Hey Everyone.
I’m back.
After my unplanned but necessary break from blogging, I’m ready to come back. It won’t be once a week, but I’m still hoping to post semi-frequently.
And what better way to ring in the new year than some resolutions?
Here’s what I’m hoping for in 2023:
- I’m not going to push myself to read more than I want to. I get jealous of some of the read counts that other book bloggers are able to accomplish. Whenever I try to match them, I get stressed out and it zaps the joy out of reading. I have to remember reading and blogging is supposed to be fun. Not work.
- I’m going to allow myself to have 5-star reads. When I read a book to review, I tend to look for the flaws in the story, until they’re all I can see. I’m still going to give honest reviews, but I’m not going to search for any negatives, especially if I enjoyed the book.
- I’m going to allow myself to be more human. For years, I’ve tried to narrow down Lover’s Quarrel to only romance novels. After all, everyone says to niche down if you want a successful blog. I’m still going to be mainly talking about romance novels. But if I want to write about something else, like my life, or comic book I’m reading, then I won’t stop myself.
I’m going to stick to these three resolutions for now. I’m already bad at following through on my goals without trying to pile more on. What are you hoping for in 2023?
